Welcoming families across Vermont & New Hampshire.
Your child’s first visit

A good beginning, together.

Your child’s first visit is a chance to get comfortable, ask questions, and begin a relationship that grows with them.

Before the first appointment

Let’s get to know
your child.

When you call, tell us about your child’s age, previous dental experiences, medical needs, and any worries you have. We’ll answer your questions and explain what to expect.

We’ll send your new-patient forms by email or mail. Once you’ve completed and returned them, please call us to schedule your child’s first appointment. Having the paperwork ready beforehand helps us give your family a smoother, more relaxed start.

What to expect

Three simple steps.

01 / A CONVERSATION

We get to know you.

We review your child’s medical history and talk about your questions, from brushing routines to previous dental experiences.

02 / A GENTLE INTRODUCTION

We take a look.

We examine your child’s teeth, gums, and dental development with an approach suited to their age and comfort.

03 / CLEAR NEXT STEPS

We explain the plan.

We share what we see, discuss recommendations, and help you understand what to do at home.

Big feelings welcome

We’ll take it
from here.

Keep it light. Treat the visit like any other fun outing—avoid words like “hurt,” “shot,” or “drill,” even reassuringly (“it won’t hurt!” plants the idea that it might).

There’s no need to explain treatment to your child beforehand. Our team will introduce the visit and explain what we’re doing in child-friendly terms, suited to your child.

First visits are about comfort and trust—for your child and for you.

Let’s make their next visit a good one.

We’re here for your child—and your questions.
